| You are looking at the newest reporter for the Record Herald in Waynesboro  I am soooo excited!!! I quit my crappy receptionist job and am moving to Waynesboro, PA in a few weeks. I couldn't believe I actually got the job. I thought for sure that I blew the second interview. But, then when I was interviewing the publisher for a profile I had to write on him, I asked him how his wife would describe him and I caught him off guard! He said no one has ever asked him that before! YAY ME lol 
So, I wrote the profile and it didn't take me long at all, which surprised me because I haven't written a story in almost 2 years! Then my editor read the story and told me it was very good and that it flowed really well.
She then said we had to meet in the conference room and she said that she was offering me the job! I almost fell out of the chair hehe. She said I handled myself really well and that I am a very good writer! That made me even more happy!!
So, now I have to search for apartments this weekend and next week. I am mostly nervous about paying all of these extra bills, but everything will work out in the end. I also get to take photos for my stories and I am definitely excited about that!!

To top off that great news...the Steelers are going to the Super Bowl!!! A new job in my field, living 45 minutes away from my West Virginia crew, and the Steelers kicking major butt! This year is going to rock!!

I have the worst headache right now. My head feels like it's going to explode 
The Steelers won 31-17 today against the Bengals!! WOO HOO Go Steelers!! The Penguins, on the other hand, lost to Atlanta two nights in a row. Saturday night's game was awful! They should have won the game, but the refs didn't call an interference on Atlanta's third goal and they gave Sidney Crosby 4 penalties! I have never seen one player get that many in one game! Two of them were uncalled for because he was tripped by someone and they claimed he was diving! And then they gave him an additional two minutes for un-sportsman-like conduct! The whole stadium booed the refs and chanted "You suck!" Have you ever heard 17,000 people screaming that at once? It was awesome!! It is definitely a shame that they lost that game.
I am going for my interview on Thursday. I am scared to death. I hate interviews and then having to wait for them to tell you if you were good enough or didn't meet their standards! Such a horrible thing for one's ego!
My contacts started bothering my eyes again. I've worn my glasses every day this week. I am going to see if I should get a new brand of contacts or just get new glasses and wear those every day. I really hate wearing them, but I can't walk around with red eyes anymore. Oh well, what are you going to do?
I'm going to go and find some pain relievers and get some sleep. I do not want to wake up for work tomorrow. Why must weekends go so fast?

I decided to quote the daily text in my blog from now on. It will definitely help me to keep up on my Bible reading! I need that now more than ever!
This weekend was nice. I was off for 5 days straight! I needed a break from that place, though I have to go back tomorrow and I am dreading it so much! There's nothing worse than getting up early for a job you hate! I was also extremely sick last week. I had a cold 2 weeks ago and I guess it didn't go away completely because I got another bad cold last week. I thought it was a sinus infection, but it seems to have cleared up for the most part.
Josh and Chris visited me from West Virginia on Friday. Josh wore his new threads and looked extremely hot! I definitely like the scruffy thing he has going on too. I feel bad because they didn't have fun at all lol. I took them to my friend, Christy's house because she was having a huge party. Well, it turns out that the party consisted mostly of her parents friends! We felt so awkward! We stood in a little huddle the whole time we were there and drank a little alcohol, ate a little food and then got so sick of feeling like outcasts that we left after a half hour or 45 minutes! After that we went bowling. I guess Chris really wasn't into it and when we got there he got all ticked off cause the blacklights showed glue on his jeans and he wouldn't get up and bowl. So, Josh got his money back and we bowled 3 games. I won the first game and he won the last 2. Bowling took a lot out of both of us lol and we were starving after that. I suggested we go to Primanti Brothers and I introduce them to the famous Primatni sandwiches, which have the meat and cheese of your choice, plus french fries and cole slaw! They are sooo good and I hate cole slaw. Chris braved it, though he was skeptical of the cole slaw. Josh on the other hand would not budge and got the fries on the side and the sandwich without cole slaw. I had the corned beef and cheese with everything! It was mm mm good 
They departed around 1 am. I wish they could have stayed longer, but oh well.
I can't believe it is 2006 already. Where did 2005 go? I feel like I wasted it. No vacations, no nothing. I need to get out of this city. It is taking my life right from under me and I'm not doing anything about it. I just hope I get this job. I have an interview at a newspaper in Waynesboro. My friend, Jenn, from Point Park worked there and I asked her about the job and she got me an interview!! I am extremely excited and nervous. I am so afraid I'm going to blow the interview. I need this job more than anything right now. I need to move away from here and start my own life. I need to move away from my past that haunts me every day.
Well, I better get to bed so I can wake up for my crappy job!!

| Sometimes I hate just being cute! Why can't I be so hot that I can stop guys dead in their tracks? Sure, I get a few neck breaks and horns honked here and there... I just feel so frickin average sometimes.

The editor called me back I wasn't near my phone again when he called, but he said that it has been very hectic there and that he is very interested in talking with me What worried me was he said he wanted to read some of my writing samples and I already sent him some like a week and a half ago! I left him another voicemail and he hasn't called me back yet. I am so desperate for a chance to work in my field that I would do almost anything!!
I am tired of my job already and I have only been there for 2 months. People there are so petty. One woman told some people she was quitting and they ran and told her supervisor! Who do they think they are? It isn't their place to tell when someone is quitting. People are so messed up. What a world we live in!!
Well, I must be getting to bed. I wish I could stay up late tonight since I have the day off tomorrow, but I have to get up early and go to the doctor! Adios, amigos
p.s. No Florida for me At least not until March
